Belize Zoo

I'm no fan of zoo's but if there ever was one I like it's the Belize Zoo. From their website:

"The Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center was started in 1983, as a last ditch effort to provide a home for a collection of wild animals which had been used in making documentary films about tropical forests."

The zoo is a wonderful and educational visit with the different species of the region. These critters would not survive on their own in the wild so they have been given a home at the zoo.
